Betws-y-coed
Drive your motorhome east from Llanberis and head to this gem hidden between the main trunk road from Holyhead to London and the main road down from Llandudno. The village grew very slowly with the development of the local lead mining industry. In 1815, the Waterloo Bridge, built by Thomas Telford to carry the London to Holyhead road (now the A5) across the River Conwy and through the village, brought considerable transport-related development.
There are numerous waterfalls that cascade around this picturesque village which attracts thousands of tourists each year. Park your motorhome up at the visitor attraction centre and enjoy the walks around and beside the River Conwy.
